
Ministry of Maritime and Insular policy Spokesman: Captain of HCG LAGKADIANOS Nikolaos
Born in Piraeus on January 19, 1972, he spent his childhood in Hydra, his home city, and later in Athens.
He graduated from the 5th High School of Kallithea in 1989. He is a graduate of the Department of Economics of the Athens University of Economics and Business (former ASOEE) (1994). During his studies he attended specialized seminars in financial management and business administration, where he received training certificates from recognized institutions, and has also completed a teaching job as a Professor of Economics and Administrative Law at the Public Professional Institute.
In 1995 he was admitted to the School of Testimonial Engineers and graduated as Ensign with a grade of "Very Good" in 1997.
From 1997 to 2000 he served in the Central Port Authority of Rhodes, as Special Fixed Deposit Administrator, as well as in the Security Investigation and Port Police Offices.
In 2000 he was appointed to the Department of Maritime Affairs of the then Ministry of Merchant Shipping (YEN), as rapporteur of the Department of Ship Composition Organization, until 2001.
From 2001 to 2005 he served in the Office of Communication and Media (GEMME) of the Ministry of Trade Shipping, as rapporteur on media management communication. During this time he attended a specialized seminar on Crisis Management - Media Training organized by the European Center for High Technology SA. (EUCAT SA Consulting Engineers & Scientists).
For one year, and in particular from 2005 to 2006, he was a lecturer at the Department of Maritime Transport of the Ministry of Shipping.
From 2006 to 2009 he served as Deputy Director and Director of the Communications and Media Bureau. On 16-2-2007, he successfully completed his studies from 22-1-2007 at the Department of Emergency Policy Planning of the Ministry of Public Order.
From December 2009 until December 2011 he was transferred to the Naval Seat of Buenos Aires, as Hellenic Seaman of Greece in Argentina.
From November 2012 until today, he has been the Press Officer of the Hellenic Coast Guard.
On 31-3-2017 he successfully graduated from the School of Personnel of Psychological Operations which took place from 21-2-2017 in the Interdisciplinary School of Psychological Operations of the General Staff of the National Defense.
He speaks excellent English, basic Spanish and has attended seminars on Computer and Marketing / Public Relations. He has been awarded all the honors and commemorations provided for his rank.
He is the second child of Dimitrios Lagadianou's family of four and Catherine Roussi. He is married to Vula Malla, a Journalist-Communicator and they have two sons and a daughter together.
